Perm Sec Calls For Team Work, Rededication To Duty
The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department, Mrs. Fayeofori Franklin Jacob, has called for renewed teamwork and rededication to duty in the department.
She made the call during her familiarisation tour of the department’s training facility at Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Monday.
The Permanent Secetary who was with her management team, reiterated the need to pool ideas in order to meet and align with the mandate of the government.
According to her, it will also enable them achieve the vision and mission of the department.
While making the rounds, the ICT Boss also addressed the new Trainees who were at an orientation workshop to kick-start the 2024 “Batch A” training for individuals interested in becoming techies.
She encouraged the trainees to be dedicated and focused, saying the training will open the doors of technology to them.
She also enjoined them to respect each other while taking this opportunity to connect and network.
Responding, the Director of Administration (DA), Mrs Aleruchi Akani, thanked the PS for hitting the ground running and promised to look into all her suggestions.
Also at the post tour meeting was the Director, Finance and Accounts, Mr Ogiri Andrew, FCA; Head, Technical, Mr Austin Dimkpa; Chief Information Officer, Mrs Rubby Anita Minimah; and the Training Centre Team Lead, Mrs Ubile Onwuchekwa.
