Monarch Celebrates Fubara’ s Supreme Court Victory
Following the affirmation of Governor Siminalayi Fubara by the Supreme Court, the Ogene 1 of Asa, Asi Asaga Community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area or Rivers State, Eze Andrew Enemuwa, has joined thousands of Rivers people to celebrate the victory.
Eze Enemuwa described the Supreme Court verdict as well deserved, the Governor having been voted massively by the electorate at the pooll.
The Ogene 1 of Asa said it is a testament and confirmation of the mandate of the people who turned out in their members and voted for him on March 18, 2023.
He further noted that the joy and jubilation across the State by the people was ample proof that the Governor is loved by the people.
Eze Enemuwa opined that now that the litigations are over it is left for the Governor to face real Governance in the State.
“He needs the support of everyone to achieve this, especially from the traditional Institution which is close to the people. The jubilation, across the State shows the it is a good thing .The supreme court has reaffirmed the election that brought governor Fubara. It is expected that he carry everyone along and remains focused in uplifting the living standard of the people for supporting him. More importantly, he should respect the traditional institution and give traditional rulers what is due them considering their role in the society. The respect they deserve and not to look down on them should be paramount as he pilots the affairs of the State. He must work with them to ensure peace, unity and fight against criminality in the society,” he said.
He urged everyone, especially the political class to embrace peace and work for the common good of the society, saying as traditional rulers, their role is to ensure peace reigns, which is the hallmark of development.
