Medical Practitioner Restates Commitment To Uplift Citizens’ Living Standard

A medical practitioner and senior consultant with the Rivers State Specialist Hospital, former Braitwaite Memorial Hospital(BMH) in Port Harcourt, Dr Silvernous Ojum, has restated his commitment to uplifting the living standard of his people and the people of the State as well as Nigerians.
Ojum, who gave the indication while speaking with newsmen in Omoku shortly after a special chieftaincy recognition was accorded him by the Oba of Ogbaland, Barrister Nwachukwu Nnam Obuohna Obi recently, said the honour would spur him to do more in uplifting the living standard of his people and Nigerians as a whole.
He also promised to use his new social status and position to inject new blood into the traditional institution and contribute his quota towards the growth and development of Egi Kingdom in particular and Rivers State in general.
Ojum further described the honour done him as a call for more service to the people as well as a total commitment to uplift the living standard of his people, and by so doing, change the ugly narrative of their marginalisation and neglect.
The renowned medical practitioner further indicated that he would by virtue of the honour done him bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment and also make positive impacts on the lives and wellbeing of the people.
While appealing for total support from his people, Ojum promised to operate an open-door policy as well as work in synergy with all and sundry in order to give the people a sense of belonging.
The medical practitioner was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Eze Uhuo 1 of Ogbaland, and thus, became one of the prominent chiefs in his Ogbogu Community, Egi Kingdom and Ogbaland.
