Despite some distractions to the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Warisenibo Joseph Johnson, has assured that the governor is still on track.
Johnson gave the assurance during a live chat with Arise Television at the weekend.
The commissioner said that Fubara remains glued to his 12-pillar agenda hinged on industrialisation of the State and improving the wellbeing of Rivers people through agriculture.
“Just last week, we signed an MoU for the new motor spare parts mall and 20,000 housing scheme”, the commissioner said.
He explained further that “quite a lot is happening in the state. We are remodelling the schools, and just recently, civil servants in the state got their promotions that have been stagnated for eight years.”
He also said that despite claims of being controlled, “Governor Siminalayi Fubara is up and doing, and when you say ‘control’, he (Fubara) is in charge of affairs of Rivers State 100 per cent.”
Against the backdrop of the current crisis, he said the governor was doing his best to stem the crisis.
The commissioner said, “every disagreement takes time to mend, but all hands are on deck to return peace to the party and the state.”
Assuring of peace, he acknowledged Wike as political father of the governor, maintaining that every issue would be settled soon.
