Young Lawyers Laud Fubara, Others On Successful Confab

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Young Lawyers Forum, Port Harcourt Branch, Barrister Victor Enebeli, has commended the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the State Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi and the former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Mary Odili and others for their immense support and contributions towards the successful hosting of the forum’s 2023 Annual Conference in Port Harcourt.
The conference which had the theme, “Breaking Barriers, Creating Future Leaders in Nigeria from the Present and Next Generation of Young lawyers “ held at Justice Mary Odili Judicial Institute in Port Harcourt recently was attended by young lawyers across the branches of the NBA across the State.
Speaking at the event, Victor Enebeli opined that the two- day conference had a far reaching impact on the members of the association ,adding that the young upcoming lawyers had learnt from the wealth of experience of the senior lawyers who have excelled in the profession.
Enebeli said as young lawyers, they are always faced with complex landscape, contending with a range of challenges, from training opportunities to a lack of inclusivity, hence, the reason for the conference, noting that the two-day summit has shaped the opinions and perceptions of its membership especially on how to navigate in times of uncertainty on the job.
He used the medium to call on the various state governments to borrow a leaf from President Bola Tinubu administration’s youth inclusiveness by replicating same in their States by appointing youths into various positions of trust, adding that the young lawyers are ready to serve, if given the desired opportunity.
The chairman of the forum while thanking members for the diligence and seriousness exhibited during the two-day confab assured that the association would continue to strive for the capacity development of its members in order to enable them contribute their own quota to the society.
