PHCCIMA President, Others Make Case For Made In Nigeria Goods
President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture( PHCCIMA), Eze Mike Elechi and other stakeholders have called for the patronage of made in Nigeria products.
The stakeholders said this at the 13th edition of Project Make in Nigeria Conference and Exhibition in Port Harcourt.
The conference has as its theme,“Think.Make Grow Innovation Summit 2023”.
Eze Elechi who declared the conference open said the event will promote the resilience and enterprises of Nigerian businessmen as well as enable Nigerian businessmen compete internationally.
He said the chamber identified with the convener and will support the event to enable it achieve them desired results.
According to him, the exhibition will not only foster economic growth but lay strong foundation for future generations to stand as far as productivity is concerned.
In his welcome address, the convener of the exhibition, Mr Uche Onochie said this year’s exhibition was to enable Nigerians think on how to grow their economies.
He said the Made in Nigeria Leadership Institute is currently training people to help them think.
He said the institute celebrates and encourages people who produces goods in Nigeria.
According to him, the institute also carried out online training on business personal finance development, adding that they also train companies that become formidable in business development.
According to him, “in the past 13 years, we have consistently built one of the most resourceful and engaging projects called Make in Nigeria and we are glad to have you and the organisation to become part of our supportive and participatory network.
“The event is largely targeted at showcasing startup MSMES, SMES and retirees while promoting their goods and services,” he said.
He said the event which runs for one week will be graced by various speakers across the world.
