Nigeria Ranks 6th Among Unbanked Country
Nigeria is ranked 6th on the list of 37 countries with most unbanked population, according to the World of Statistics.
The World of Statistics, on its X handle (formerly Twitter) yesterday said that Morocco ranks first with 71 percent followed by Vietnam 69 percent and Egypt 67percent.
Others are Philippines 66per cent, Mexico 63 per cent, Nigeria 60per cent, Peru 57per cent, Colombia 54per cent, Indonesia 51per cent, Argentina 51per cent, Kenya 44per cent, Romania 42per cent, Kazakhstan 41per cent, and Ukraine 37per cent.
The rest include Uruguay 36%, South Africa 31%, Turkey 31%, Brazil 30%, Bulgaria 28%, Chile 26%, Russia 24%, India 20%, Greece 15%, Poland 13%, and USA 7%.
Also ranked are Spain at 6%, France 6%, Italy 6%, South Korea 5%, UK 4%, Austria 2%, Japan 2%, Germany 1%.
Countries with zero percentage are Australia, Canada, Denmark and Norway.
