Lagos Street Soccer Championship To kick-Off Oct 15
The Chairman Lagos Street Soccer championship committee, Bolaji Yusuf, has announced October 15 as the kick-off date for the eagerly anticipated Season 8 of the tournament.
According to Yusuf, the championship will now kick off on Sunday, 15 October while the shift in date was necessitated by the need to put finishing touches to the preparations.
The opening ceremony and official kick-off of the 5-a-side football championship will take place at Obele Odan Playing Ground, Surulere, after Surulere Local Government won the hosting right for the tournament’s opening games.
The grassroot football championship is expected to parade more than 1,000 teams featuring men and women’s teams including the U15 category.
