De Kings FA Defeats Benchman FC In Friendly Game
De Kings International Football Academy (DKFA) Under-15 of Port Harcourt yesterday defeated Benchman FC 7-4 in a friendly football match at the Sharks Football Club Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Speaking after the game, the Director of the DKFA, Chika King said that the friendly game was to test his boys’ (players’) performance and their fitness considering the training they have undergone this month.
According to him, they are going to represent Rivers State for the Under- 15 next year in the league game, adding that the friendly game will keep them fit for competitions.
“Today, we were able to score seven goals even though it is a friendly game but it is a way forward.
“ I think the team is doing well and I know we are going to do more because the players have been playing together for some years.
“ The seven goals does not matter but the importance thing is that they were able to keep the ball down and did some touching.
“ I am not saying we have got it right but I am still working on the team because football pattern changes everyday,” King said.
