Chiefs Council Tasks CDC On Illegal Structures Removal
Chairman of Okuru-Ama Council of Chiefs in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Dennis A.N. Kurobo, has tasked the new executives of the Community Development Committee (CDC) to remove all illegal structures defacing the community.
He also urged them to bring back the community to the path of progress and prosperity.
Chief Kurobo gave the charge during the inauguration of the new executives of the CDC at Okuru-Ama.
Chief, Kurubo said the new CDC should embark on regular environmental sanitation in the community with a view to returning the community to the path of cleaningness.
According to him, all illegal structures defacing the community should be removed and stressed the need for them to avoid unnecessary wringing and conflicts while also seeking regular advice from the chiefs and the elders council.
Also speaking, the outgone chairman, Community Development Committee (CDC), Okuru-Ama, Mr Fidelis D. R Okuru thanked the community for the opportunity given him to serve.
Okuru also attributed his success as the chairman Community Development Committee of the community to God and urged his people to extend the support to the new administration
Speaking with newsmen, the new chairman of the Okuru -Ama Community Development Committee, Mr Roland Ibiewari, said his administration would bring Okuru -Ama to the path of peace and prosperity.
He also promised to improve the sanitary and hygienic condition of the community.
