CAFCC: Rivers United Ready For Etoile Filante – Nwagua

Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt’s captain Nyima Nwagua has said that they are well prepared for the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation cup for first leg against Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou of Burkina Faso this weekend in Yamoussoukro, Cote D’Ivoire.
According to him, the pre-season games that his team played has boostief the morale of the team, especially, the 2-0 victory against Enyimba FC of Aba last Sunday.
Nwagua said this on Wednesday in a chat with the club’s media office made available to Tidesports in Port Harcourt, adding that the victory against Enyimba was very important for the Pride of Rivers.
“ I thank God for the victory because playing against Enyimba away from home was not an easy task despite it being a pre-season game.
“ It was a very important game for us because it showed our level of preparation against our opponents in the CAF Confederation cup.
“ It is also a game that boosts the confidence of the players and I think from the victory we can keep such a momentum” Nwagua said.
He even said that the preseason games have helped them to score away goals adding that going to a different environment away from home now, they can  scored goals.
“ We did not take the pre-season victory as serious but we are to keep that symbol to actualise our dream” he stated.
