RS Coaches Association Elect New Officers

Rivers State Coaches Association has  elected new executive to pilot its affairs for the next four years.
The elections which took place at the State Basketball complex Niger/ Bende Street, in Port Harcourt , precisely  21st July 2023 , witnessed huge attendance by Coaches and external observers.
After the elections Asigoboka Briggs emerged as Chairman, Peter Simon,  Vice Chairman, while  Mimi  Mie-Iyene, clinched the secretary position.
Others elected are; Queenth Nwachukwu, financial secretary, Gift Otuonye, Welfare Officer, Kareem Hakeem , treasurer and Amoru  Noma, emerged as Public Relations Office r(PRO).
In her acceptance speech the Chairman pledges to be transparent and run an administration of open door policy.
She said for the association to succeed every member must contribute meaningfully and appeal for their support.
The Chairman on behalf of other executive call for unity and love, saying that it is only collective effort that can make the association progress.
“ I thank everyone here for the confidence reposed on us. We will not fail you but we need your support to achieve our set goals.
“Our adminstration will run an open door policy because every coach is equal but try and do your best as a coach” Briggs said.
Mrs Asigoboka Briggs has  won gold, silver and bronze medals in National Sports Festivals currently holding Festival record in weight lifting.
