Cleric Urges Fubara On Queens Town Development

The leadership of the God of Abraham Ministry, also known as “Abrahamism” has pleaded with Governor Siminalayi Fubara to turn Queenstown in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area into a pilgrimage centre in honour of the founder of Abrahamism religion, Late Primate Albert Magnus Uranta.
They made the plea recently at the religion’s King David/Fathers’ Day celebration in Port Harcourt.
They also urged the Governor to as a matter of urgency visit families of the founding fathers of the state and include them in programme of activities for the first one hundred days celebration of the administration.
It would be recalled that late Primate Albert Magnus Uranta, a native of Queens town in Opobo/Nkoro LGA, founded the Abrahamism religion in 1985.
Speaking during a service to mark the King David/Fathers’ Day celebration in Port Harcourt, Primate Simeon Ezenna Iwueke, the Chief Disciple of Abraham Ben Abraham God of Abraham Ministry, said developing Queens Town as a pilgrimage centre means immortalising the memory of the late founder of the religion.
He said Government can do this, through the creation of access road to Queens Town, construction of a hall where pilgrims can camp, and a school.
“Queens Town is the international centre of the order. I am begging the government of the day to look into the affairs of Queens Town.
“Create road because not every person love to enter boat. Create an avenue through which people will go there freely, It is a spiritual home”, he said.
Iwueke also stated that prayers of late Albert Magnus Uranta was instrumental to drawing the Government’s attention to some riverine communities.
According to the cleric, during the lifetime of the founder of Abrahamism, he visited communities like Ngo, Opobo Town, Ogu and Buguma where he prayed for Government attention to them.
He said activities for the immortalisation of the late cleric should be included in the first One hundred days celebration of the present administration in Rivers State.
He said pilgrims across the world are willing to come to Queens Town, but could not as a result of lack of access road to the town.
The cleric also urged the Governor to visit the families of the founding fathers of Rivers State with the view to seeing how things are going on with them.
He said this will serve as an encouragement to the present and future generations, assuring them that their struggle for humanity will not be forgotten.
Iwueke urged the younger generations to respect their fathers as a way of attracting their blessings.
Also speaking, Eze Charles Nweke said Eze ENB Opurum, who is the only surviving founding father of the state can be reached with a view to identifying families of other founding fathers of the state.
He expressed regret that families of the founding fathers of the state have been left in abject poverty, adding that the situation will not encourage the younger generations to struggle for humanity.
