School Of Engineering Wins CEAPOLY 2023 Rector’s Cup Competition

School of Engineering has won the 2023 edition of the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic Rector’s Cup competition.
School of Engineering emerged winner after defeating its School of Science and Technology counterpart in a penalty shoot-out at the end of regulation time.
Similarly, in the female category, School of Science and Technology emerged winner after defeating its School of Information Communication and Technology counterpart 2- 0.
Meanwhile ,Acting Rector of the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port Harcourt, Dr Moses Neebee has rated the institution high in both sports and academic activities.
Neebee said this at the concluding ceremony of the 2023 edition of Captain Elechi Amadi Rector’s Cup competition last Friday.
Neebee also lauded the participating teams and players for their level of discipline, stressing that the one week competition has exposed hidden talents in the institution.
The Rector said next edition of the competition will be improved upon as more sporting events will be included.
He also thanked staff for coming out enmass to cheer their various teams, and declared that as far as the competition was concerned, there was no victor and looser in the spirit of fair play.
19 departments took part in the competition.
The competition was on knock-out basis in the female category, School of Science and Technology emerged winner defeating it school of Information Communication and Technology counterpart . Male category, School of Engineering won its science and technology counterpart by a penalty shoot- out
Meanwhile, Better Emmanuel of School of Science and Technology emerged as highest goal scorer in the female category while Samuel of School of Engineering emerged highest goal scorer in the male category.
Also, Clifford Maxwell of School of Science and Technology emerged most valuable player in the male category.
