RSG Cancels Recruitment Exercise At IAUOE …Assures On Fresh Exercise

The Rivers State Government has cancelled the recruitment exercise recently conducted by the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, near Port Harcourt.
The government, in a statement issued yesterday and personally signed by the Commissioner for Education, Prof Prince Chinedu Mmom, noted that it has observed with dismay the inconsistencies/ irregularities and flagrant disobedience to the directives concerning the recruitment exercise.
“Therefore, the recent employment exercise conducted by the management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt is hereby cancelled”, the statement said, adding that all appointment letters issued and received are hereby nullified, and the government, therefore, directed the affected persons to return the letters to the office of the Registrar of the institution while they return immediately other employment related properties such as ID Cards in their possession to the office of the Rivers State Head of Service.
The government, however, assured that a proper and credible exercise shall be conducted in due course.
