Rivers Community Residents Applaud New DPO

Barely one month after the arrival of Aluu Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Udo Akpan at the Aluu Police Division, unusual accolades are pouring in following what the residents of the community describe as result-oriented approach adopted by the DPO.
Some of the residents who bared their minds while speaking with newsmen said CSP Akpan remains one of the few refined officers whose performamce in the few weeks speaks volumes.
One of the residents, Obinichi Worlu said the efforts of the new DPO just one month after have yielded positive results in the area.
Worlu,Commander of Aluu OSPAC noted the confidence of the people on the new DPO following his new approach which he said has reduced crime to the barest minimum.
Also, one Innocent Amadi, a business operator expressed delight over the way the new DPO has handled his duty which everyone in the area can attest to.
Amadi said although different officers had been posted to the Division, this particular one means well for the people.
Another resident, Chinelu Mbamalu described him as an officer with over capacity and zeal to deliver and sanitise the area.
“We, the people can experience the new dawn in the security situation of the place, there is a big difference, ’’ he said.
One Oliver Mpi said the new DPO deserves commendation for fighting crime to a standstill, adding that since he came, the bad boys have been on the run, bearing in mind that it is no longer business as usual.
Jude Ifeanyi called for total support to him to enable him succeed in the fight against crime.
Ifeanyi said the DPO’s total commitment, passion and professionalism have rekindled the confidence of the people on the police.
Mary Ojale said the renewed hope in the police and the people’s relationship with the police has improved tremendously following the DPO’s exploits.
Chief Willy Nwegwu , a hotel owner admitted reduction of crime which gives room for free operation of business even late at night .
Chief Willy Aluu and its environs has witnessed tremendous peace and social harmony since CSP Akpam took over ,saying issues of security threats no more exist
