Ring Road’ll Restore Garden City Status Of Port Harcourt
Chairman, Community Development Committee (CDC) Omuoda Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr John Obunezi, has said that the Port Harcourt Ring Road recently flagged off by Governor Siminalayi Fubara will restore, Port Harcourt and environs to it’s garden city status.
Obunezi who said while assessing the achievement of Governor Fubara within the last two months said the administration has laid a solid foundation for the growth and development of Port Harcourt City and environs.
According to the community leader the ring road will also improve the aesthetic conditions of the city.
He stressed the need for Rivers people to give the Governor the desired support aswell as cooperate with the contractor to see to the completion of the road project.
He said he is already mobilising his people to cooperate with the contractor towards the successful execution of the road.
Obunezi also commended the state government for the construction of link roads in his community and the provision of a 500 kVA transformer.
He also urged the youth of the community to eschew violence as it does not pay any one any good.
Meanwhile, Mr John Obunezi has commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for the inclusion of the name of former Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, among the Ministerial nominees.
He said Wike deserve a ministerial position in view of his sacrifices towards the enthronement of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Obunezi also described ex- Governor Wike as an achiever, adding that the people of Omuoda Aluu are proud of him.
