Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has urged the body of Christ to continue to uphold the State Government in prayers as nothing can be achieved without prayers.
Fubara stated this during the public presentation of a book titled “In His Service: A Chronicle of Bishop Gabriel Herbert Pepple”, at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt.

The book was in honour of late Bishop Gabriel Herbert Pepple.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, reiterated that the State Government would continue to partner with the church, noting that the church remains a strong pillar of support to his administration.
”The Church is our strength, the Church is our pillar, the church is the positive energy we have and as a government, we love and appreciate the Church”, he said.
The State Chief Executive, who thanked the Niger Delta Diocese for immortalizing late Pepple, described him as a colossus that positively impacted on the lives of those who had the privilege of interacting with him.

”He was a man that motivated and inspired people through his preaching, there is no way you will listen to him and your life will not change. “the governor stressed.
In his address, the Bishop of Niger Delta Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja, said as part of the one year memorial of the Late Bishop, the Diocese decided to honour him through a book publication that chronicles all the works that God had used him to do.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Justice Biobele Georgewill, said the Late Bishop lived a selfless life worthy of emulation and expressed gratitude to the organisers of the event for successfully putting the programme together.
