Rivers Utd Get N5m Rewards For Beating Insurance

Former Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State, Barr. Christopher Green has rewarded players of Rivers United with five  million naira for their victory over Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier Football League Championship(NPFL) Super  Six Playoffs, on Friday.
Barr. Green, had promised to reward the team while addressing them before kick-off against Bendel Insurance at  the ongoing NPFL Championship Playoffs in Lagos.
Goals from Morice Chukwu and Joseph Onoja ensured the Pride of Rivers as fondly called beat the Benin Arsenal to end their 21-unbeaten run in the 2022/2023 NPFL season.
Reacting, the General Manager of Rivers United, Chief Okey Kpalukwu has assured Barr. Green that the team will win the league.
While thanking him for motivating the team and his leadership style, he reiterated that the team is capable of retaining the league title to make the state proud.
