‘I’m Impressed With Khana FC’s Impressive Performance’

The Special Adviser to Chairman of Khana Local Government Council of Rivers State, on Sports, Hon Nekabari Biagbara, has expressed joy over the impressive performance of Khana FC in the ongoing Nationwide League One, (NLO).
According to him, he was impressed with the performances of both coaches and players of the club, adding that he has no doubt that they will go far following what he had seen.
Nekabari, who is popularly known as Larry, said this on Saturday while fielding questions from sports journalists shortly after Khana FC defeated SKE FC 3-1 in their second group game of the NLO at the Sharks Football Stadium in Port Harcourt.
“With what I am seeing this season I am very optimistic that they will go beyond the group stage”, Nekabari said.
When asked whether Khana Local Government Area can sustain the team when the Chairman, Dr Bariere Thomas leaves office, he said, definitely there will be continuity”.
He said the administration of Dr Thomas is a continuous one, saying that whether the chairman is there or not, legacies he has kept behind will continue for the growth of the Local Government Area.
” I believe with what I am seeing, surely their glories and benefits will come from the game and that is why the chairman is doing his best to support them to get to the peak of their career,” he stated.
He equally said that the Local Government Area is into talent-hunting for other sports activities.
“We are doing inter- school competition and very soon swimming competition will commence.
” Dr. Thomas is the best chairman when it comes to sports development in Rivers State,” he stated.
