IAWPA Ambassadors Harp On Peace To Accelerate Dev, Business
The Ambassadors of the International Association of Peace Advocates (IAWPA) have sued for peace to drive economic development and business promotion in the country.
The Ambassadors spoke in an interview with The Tide shortly after the induction of new members at the United Nations Intellectual Property Day celebration in Port Harcourt, recently.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of I-Contact Connect Limited, Amb Larry Goodwill Ajiola said, “we need peace to drive economic development because nothing will happen without peace”.
Ajiola, who is also the Chief Exeecutive Officer of iEBS Matrixx Cooperative Investment and Credit Society Limited, said the intellectual property day is celebrating innovative and distinctive achievements, adding, that this year’s celebration centres on women.
The CEO, a business consultant for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), said IAWPA celebrates men and women of influence who can go beyond tribal and religious sentiments that have put the country in this terrble situation.
In her contribution, Amb., Chelsea Onwudinjo, the Chief Executive Officer of Back Home Initiative and Investment Sales Executive, Entreprenurship Village, Akure, Ondo State, said the induction is a charge to pursue and achieve peace, “without which business development would be an illusion.
“Entreprenurship village will house different entrepreneurs which would serve as an education hub and international connection points for business owners who want to go far in achieving their targets business wise.
“Everyone that wants to build his or herself in business needs to visit the village”, he said, adding that return of investment would also contribute to the economic development of the country.
She noted that poverty is the root cause of the social fracas in the society, stressing that entrepreneurs development would go a long way to solve poverty issues in Nigeria and environs.
“In the village, Nigerian entrepreneurs would be projected and also propelled for innovative moves. Here is innovative hub where talents are trained and built”, she said.
The newly inducted Chairman of All Grant Pressure Group, Rivers State, Amb. Sylvester John Akari said, “my mission is to ensure peace among the youths”.
Akari said the induction would enable him to do more among the youths in the different parts of Rivers state, Nigeria and the globe.
