Fubara, New Hope For Rivers Dev – Don
A lecturer in the Department of English and Communication Arts, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, Prof. Ibiere Ken-Maduako, has commended Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for giving the state and her people a new vista of hope through the election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded gubernatorial polls, Sir Siminialayi Fubara; his Deputy, Prof Ngozi Ordu, among others.
Speaking with journalists recently in Opobo, headquarters of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ken-Maduako appreciated the untiring efforts of the governor at providing good governance and developing the state since 2015.
She commended Governor Wike for demonstrating true love for Rivers people and giving the state a new lease of life through the delivery of quality development projects and providing visionary political leadership.
Ken-Maduako further eulogised Governor Wike for finding Sir Fubara and Prof. Ordu worthy to pilot the affairs of the State in the next political dispensation as Governor and Deputy Governor respectively.
Ken-Maduako, who is Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Ignatius Ajuru University, congratulated Fubara; his Deputy, Prof. Ordu and other victorious candidates of the party.
She lauded Fubara’s tenacity and verve which saw him and others coast home to victory from a broad base support from the Rivers South East Senatorial District and the entire Rivers State, adding that, “Knowing the professional quality and capacity of Fubara as the people’s governor and leader, Rivers electorate had made the right choice”.
Ken-Maduako said, “Sim Fubara who we have known for years and has previously worked closely with in the past has the right temperament, tenacity and drive to achieve for our dear state”.
She said that the victory of the PDP gives the state a fresh vista to grow under the watch of Sir Fubara when he assumes office as governor later this month.
The erudite scholar admonished the incoming administration to “Stay true to the progressive ideals of the PDP in particular and Rivers State in general.”
