Police CP Decorates 14 Newly Promoted Senior Officers

The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Okon Okon Effiong, on Wednesday decorated two newly promoted Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs ) and 12 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP ) in Rivers Command with their new ranks.
Okon charged the newly promoted police officers to use their new ranks to confront the challenges of modern policing to serve the society effectively, noting that the promotion was a motivation and recognition of hard work borne out of diligence and commitment .
The State CP further charged the officers to deliver on the confidence reposed on them, and urged them to ensure that they do not lose relationship with family and friends, but carry them along as expected of trained police officers to members of the public.
Some of the officers promoted include DCP Akika Solomon and DCP Jephtah S.
ACP Mohammed Inuma, and Job Simeon were decorated with the ranks of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG ).
Others are ACP Dakam Phillip, ACP Stella Akanwa, ACP Chinwe Okadike, and ACP Emmanuel Nwagbara.
Also decorated are ACP Idris Danladi, ACP Ibrahim Yusuf, ACP Mohammed Gana, and ACP Sunday Tunji Ademola Adebayo.
Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, the newly decorated Deputy Commissioner of Police, Akika Solomon, in his acceptance speech, commended the Inspector General of Police, Baba Usman Alkali, and the state CP, Okon Effiong, for effecting the promotion, and assured them of their commitment in ensuring that members of the public feel the impact of their new office.
