Gov’ship/State Assemblies Polls: Rivers Senator Hails Turnout, Commends INEC

The reelected Senator representing  Rivers South East in the National Assembly, Senator Barinada Mpigi has hailed the massive turnout of the people of ward 4 in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State during the Governorship and  State House of Assembly elections, last Saturday.
He stated that the massive turnout was an indication that the people of the area were particularly and absolutely satisfied with the dividends of democracy they have enjoyed in the community.
Senator Mpigi said this after casting his vote in the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections at ward 4, unit 2 in Tai LGA, adding that the people of his ward rose up to the fact that they have a serving Senator.
“ Look at the massive turnout, the people want the policies of Consolidation and Continuity.
“ I want to thank the people of my ward for their massive turnout. It is a proof that they are happy with the present government.
“ So far, so good. What is on ground is that almost everybody that are voting vote for PDP”, Senator Mpigi said.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their early arrival in his unit, saying that as at 8:30am, voting had commenced in Ward 4.
“ INEC are excellent, about 8am, we started voting in my ward”, he said.
