PDP Ready To Restore Lost Glory In C’River -Chairman
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is ready to restore the lost glory of Cross River State through the enthronement of good governance when voted into office in the March 11 governorship election.
The party’s Chairman in the state, Mr Venatius Ikem, stated this in Calabar last Saturday during the five million man march across major roads in the capital city.
Ikem expressed confidence that the PDP would win the governorship polls as well as emerge victorious in other elections scheduled for Saturday.
He said all that the party appealed for was the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies, especially the Police.
He noted that the crowd that trooped out for the march was a testament that the PDP remained the party to beat in Cross River.
“I want to thank everyone who made themselves available here for this walk despite the challenging times that has to do with transportation and cash.
“We may not have made the five million man march, but we are quite satisfied with the turnout.
“We shall vote freely, we believe that our people have made their position known, that they will vote PDP. We need to be fit for that moment on Saturday.
“I know that we have made up our minds to vote all our candidates, from Atiku Abubakar for President to Prof. Sandy Onor as Governor and others in between,” he stated.
