Rivers United Midfielder Pledges More Goals

Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt midfielder, Morice Chukwu has promised to score morer as the  Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL) season progresses.
The midfielder who scored the first goal for his club this season against Lobi Stars on Sunday stated that he is sure to score more goals for club in all competitions.
Chukwu said this on Monday in a chat with Tidesports in Port Harcourt, adding that with the support of his teammates the club would finish tops on the log.
According to him, he is very happy for scoring the first goal of the season for his team, adding that before the game kickoff their coach has already told them to approach the  match as if it was finals of the tournament.
“ I feel excited for scoring the opening goal for my team this new season. I believe that this season, I will score more goals.
“ We are going to approach every game this season as finals in the competition because we need to pick points from every game we play to ensure we keep our pride.
“We will always do what we know best   which is to win matches for us to retain the title back to back.
“ We are not under any pressure we just want to do our job and the most important thing is for us to win games.
“ I think there are a lot of improvement in the team than the previous season.
“We have a lot of amazing support from His Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike, and our fans are always there for us, all these will help  us to succeed” Chukwu said.
