NPFL: Rivers United Sure To Win Lobi Stars, On Sunday  

Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt will on Sunday kick off its 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season  campaiign against Lobi Stars of Makurdi at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Speaking in an exclusive with Tidesports, one of the interviewed defender of United, Chidiebube Duru, on Wednesday, said the team was ready for the new season.
According to him,  Lobi Stars is not an easy team to beat but with the high spirits in United camp, they will get victory by His grace.
“We are very prepared for the game.
“We know Lobi is not an easy side when it comes to NPFL, so we have  prepared well, besides, our players know how important is the game, Duru said.
The Super Eagles’ defender explained that to win NPFL title back to back was their target, though  not an easy one but they are going to set a new record this season.
“ We had intensified our trainings, so every department as I speak with you we are ready for the game.
“ We are going to put effort to surpass last season to enable us retain the NPFL title. We are going to take every game serious as we did  last season,” he stated.
The defender used the forum to thank the number one supporter of the club,  Chief Governor Nyesom Wike for funding the Club adequately.
