Council Boss Vows To Deliver PDP Candidates In Rivers

The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area in Rivers State,  Hon Anengi Barasua, has expressed  optimism that Bonny will vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) at the forthcoming general elections.
She stated that her priority is to deliver the party’s Governorship flag bearer, Sir Siminilayi Fubara and other candidates including Hon. Victor Jumbo, the state House of Assembly hopeful.
Hon. Barasua, said this at the campaign ground on Tuesday, in Finima, Bonny, adding that both indigenes and non indigenes of Bonny have expressed optimism that they will deliver all PDP candidates in the area.
“As the Local Government Chairman of Bonny I will work together with other stakeholders in the PDP to ensure that we deliver our candidates.
“ I am so optimistic and have no fear for our candidates. This is because the present administration led by Governor Nyesom Wike has made it easy and simple for us to get victory following his developmental strides in the State.
“You can see the unprecedented crowd that attended the rally, this goes further to confirm the fact that Bonny people have reaffirmed their support  for the PDP.
“We can’t thank Governor Wike enough for being voice for the women, voice to the voiceless.The recognition he gave women in the State has made me and other women to occupy different political positions in the state .
“Consequently, the women in Rivers State are also ready to pay him back  by voting massively for all PDP candidates, as they will follow the footsteps of Governor Wike in terms of development,” she said.
Also speaking, Bonny PDP House of Assembly candidate Victor Jumbo, emphasised that the LGA will record 90 percent vote for the PDP.
“We have consulted all stakeholders,  ethnic groups, religious groups,  Chieftaincy Houses and they assured us of support  and vote for the PDP.
“They told us in clear terms the party has given them sense of belonging and rekindled their hopes,” Hon. Jumbo said.
