The Man ‘O War Commander in charge of Operations and Rescue, Rivers State Command, Rev. Natty Rissi, has lauded Governor Nyesom Wike, for his numerous development projects, especially the Rumukwurusi flyover in the state.
He stated that the recently commissioned Rumukwurusi flyover has alleviated the suffering of motorists and improved standard of living economically in the area.
Natty, who was fielding questions from newsmen, last Monday, described Wike as the most performing governor of all times in the state, saying that all the projects carried out by the administration were people-oriented.
According to him, the governor has turned the state to Dubai, following the infrastructurerevolution in the state.
“Governor Nyesom Wike is gradually turning Rivers state to Dubai following the unprecedented infrastructure and people-oriented projects executed. This is uncommon development.
“Where have you seen a governor in the history of Nigeria awarding and commissioning massive projects with few months to leave office.
“Governor Nyesom Wike has broken records in the state and beyond, if previous administrations have done half of what he has done the State would have become Dubai by now.
“Honestly, I am always angry each time I hear some persons criticising Governor Wike. I can’t imagine a governor commissioning and flagging off projects at this time.
“I give him all kudos. I am very grateful and proud of the Ikwerre son,” Natty said.
He used the forum to advice leaders of the host communities of the flyovers to completely stop street trading around the flyovers so that it would not deface the beauty of the state.
The clergyman further advised the incoming administration to consolidate on the infrastructure development gains already on ground.
In the same vein, the Divisional Police Officer (DOP) in charge of Elimgbu, CSP Doyo Mark, has assured the people of the area of adequate security within his jurisdiction.
He warned criminals to stay out of Elimgbu and its neighbourhood as he would not spare any criminal around the area.
“Police will deploy necessary tools to ensure free flow of traffic in the area and ensure that no one vandalise any part of the fly over” Mark said.
