Bishop Extols Virtues Of Late Tai Monarch
The Anglican Bishop of Ogoni Diocese, Solomon Gberegbara, has described the late Paramount Ruler of Nonwa Uedeme Community in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Edward Nnah Ntagha, as a visionary leader, who used his resources and time to serve God and humanity.
Giving his homily during a special church service and funeral oration for the late monarch,at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Nonwa Uedeme during the weekend, Gberegbara attested to the devout and committed life of the chief whose reign as a paramount ruler brought enduring peace and harmony among his people.
Apart from his life as an educationist, disciplinarian and devoted community leader, he said the deceased was an exemplary Christian who had the fear of God and contributed immensely to the growth of the Anglican Church in his community, noting that his departure has created a big vacuum in Holy Trinity Church, Tai Archdeaconry and beyond.
The bishop, who prayed for the repose of the late chief, urged his family and the people of NonwaUedeme in general to emulate his virtues and sustain his legacies by ensuring peaceful coexistence in the church and the community.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, the first son of the late monarch and successor to the royal stool, Chief Nlebuleh Frank Nnah, said he would rule with the fear of God and work hard to sustain the legacies of his late father by running a consultative and accommodating leadership system.
He called for the cooperation and support of the people of NonwaUedeme, and non-indigenes in the area to enable him succeed in his reign, and assured that peace, security and development would be his top priorities.
Also speaking, another son of the late monarch, Prophet Lucky Nnah (Omni 1), who is general overseer of Trinity Power Flow Ministry, said his late father was a God-fearing and benevolent character, who impacted the lives of many people positively through his long-standing career as a teacher and royal father.
Nnah expressed gratitude to God for the life of the late monarch, and stated that a leadership foundation would be established in his name to immortalise and promote the ideals of community service and social justice which guided his father’s stay on earth.
