2023 Polls: ‘Wike’s Giant Strides To Impact Positively On PDP’
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has said that the developmental strides recorded by the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration would positively impact the fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming elections.
Banigo stated this during a meeting with critical Degema Local Government Area PDP stakeholders at the Government House in Port Harcourt, last Tuesday.
According to the deputy governor, the State Chief Executive, Chief Nyesom Wike, has carried out a lot of developmental projects across Degema Local Government Area, which has made the job of persuading the electorate to vote for candidates of the PDP very easy.
She added that a lot of educational and people-oriented projects have been completed, the stool of the traditional ruler of Bille has also been recognised, while the first phase of the Trans Kalabari Road, which starts from Degema to connect the Central Group, would soon be commissioned.
Introducing members of the campaign team, the PDP Chairman, Rivers West Senatorial District, Dr. Nname Robinson Ewor, disclosed that the members were carefully selected to ensure that they go through the nooks and crannies of the area to make impact and ensure total victory for the party in the Gubernatorial, National Assembly and State Assembly polls.
In his response, the Chairman of the Campaign Team in Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Taribo Benson, said right from the inception of the present democratic dispensation in 1999, Degema Local Government Area had always embraced the Peoples Democratic Party, adding that the upcoming election would not be an exception.
He expressed the commitment of his team to work for the collective victory of the party, which he said, they were pleased to do.
