LGA Boss Reiterates Enforcement Of Executive Orders
The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Anengi Barasua, has reiterated that the Executive Orders 21 and 22 still subsist.
She stated that violators of the orders would be arrested and prosecuted, saying that political parties wishing to use government facilities should follow due processes specified in the orders.
Barasua, said this while fielding questions from newsmen, last Monday, in Bonny, saying that her administration would not tolerate any breakdown of law and order.
“I emphasised that parties intending to use any government facilities must comply with the order. I will arrest and prosecute and any political or group that violates the orders.
“As I speak, I have alerted security agencies in the area, because I hear there was an attempt by Accord Party trying to violate the orders.
“On no account should any one truncate the existing peace in the area, peace and social harmony of Bonny cannot be compromised by her administration”, Barasua said.
The LGA boss, further urge the people of Bonny to support the Governor Nyesom Wike to achieve his set goals mostly voting for Sir Siminialayi Fubara in 2023.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government, Hon Anengi Barasua, has felicitated with Christians in Bonny on the celebration of Christmas.
She urged them to use the period to reflect on the sacrifices Christ made so that we may live to eternity.
