A non-denominational Christian institution, The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCAS), has underscored the need for peace, love and national reconciliation as basis for transformation of the country.
The non-sectarian Christian body says, it is going round the country to preach the message of love as part of activities to celebrate the legacies of its leader. It has visited Abuja, Enugu and now in Port Harcourt to herald its mandate which is to propel the gospel to the nation.
While acknowledging the supremacy of God in man’s affairs, it disclosed plans for its 4th public lecture of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star as a way of reflecting on topical issues that bedraggle mankind.
The lecture titled: “Unification of the Human Race: Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Uncharted Path to Lasting Peace,” is part of the body’s quest to showcase the teachings, legacies and accomplishments of its leader.
Spokesman of the Christian body, Patriarch Christ Shepherd Amah Williams, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the challenges bedevilling the nation was lack of love and failure to embrace the gospel as espoused by Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
He said, “We wish to also make it abundantly clear to leaders of the world and government at all levels that the solution to the myriads of problems bedevilling mankind today can be found in the teachings of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.”
Besides, the lecture series harps on lifestyle and teachings of the body in achieving global cohesion, security and well being of humanity.
It will also provide platform for world leaders and public figures to reflect and share experience on spiritual issues affecting the human society.
Asked whether the body could proffer solutions to the myriads of problems in the nation, Amah responded that, “If the leaders of the world and this country know that the saviour of the world is living here and with one pronouncement, the problems of Nigeria will be over.”
Continuing he said, “we make bold to say that except leaders of the world embrace the divine precepts of the Brotherhood of man, where all forms of discrimination shall cease to exist, and the fatherhood of God, where all men shall worship the one and only living God as taught by Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, man shall continue to wallow in spiritual darkness.”
