Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has urged Rivers people to stay in the Lord and remain born again at all times.
Banigo stated this at the Government House in Port Harcourt, during the Christmas Carol organised by her office, last Friday.
The deputy governor noted that sanctification was an ongoing thing, but regretted that the church does not preach about it again as much as it should, adding that the Lord Jesus said:‘be ye holy even as I am holy’.
“This season is a season of the celebration of his birth, and he wants to find himself in us once again, he wants to restore us, he wants to reconcile us back to our father. Let us use this time to check our level of sanctification in Christ”.
She described sanctification as work in progress until Jesus comes, and thanked the Ministers of God for their consistency.
Banigo, who said it was the Almighty God that thrust her into the political scene, expressed gratitude to Governor Nyesom Wike, for being instrumental to her raising political profile, while wishing the first family of Rivers State and the entire citizenry of the state a Merry Christmas.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of gifts to retired staff of the Deputy Governor’s Office as well as the dedication/unveiling of the Debut Album of the Deputy Governor’s Office Choir, Titled: ‘Tehilah To Your Name’, which means praise to your name.
