The Coordinator of De Entrepreneurs Club, Mr. Martin Giador, has stated the need for entrepreneurs in the state to utilise the opportunities provided by the platform to promote and project their businesses.
Giador, who said this while responding to the newly registered club members’ questions on the club’s platform, said the platform remains the best bet for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to market their products.
He reiterated that many new business owners have connected to mentors to grow their businesses, adding that the platform  promotes and projects  businesses of entrepreneurs in and outside the state.
“Businesses outside Port Harcourt can also be promoted through the business platform to boost economic growth”, he said.
The Tide reports that the level of growth of SMEs and development cannot yield the needed results required to tackle poverty and  economic setbacks experienced in the country.
Meanwhile, the prices of food items and petroleum products keep increasing on a daily basis, without a corresponding increase in income.
Some economic experts noted that if drastic steps are not taken to develop SMEs, Nigerian economy will continue to face crisis, especially in unemployment.
