Omoni’s Death, Great Loss To Us – DPO
Elimgbu Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Doyo Mark, has described the death of former Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, as a great loss.
CSP Doyo noted that Omoni’s untimely demise was a rude shock to the rank and file of the police force.
Doyo, stated this last weekend at Ndele, during the funeral of Late Nnamdi Omoni, former image maker, of the state police command
Recall that late DSP Omoni until his death was Elimgbu Divisional Police Officer in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
Late DSP Omoni also served as Public Relations Officer for over seven years before his promotion and transfer to Elimgbu
Barr Omoni, who hailed from Ndele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State died shortly after celebrating his birthday
The Elimgbu DPO said the vacuum late Omoni has left behind will be difficult to fill, following the role he played as former police image maker.
Doyo observed that the testimonies across board showed the positive impact he created in repositioning the command.
“It is a great loss to the force. Omoni’ s demise has remained a rude shock to everyone, but no one can question God.
“Rivers State Police Command will greatly miss him and the impact he made in the force as former image maker.
“He was a good man par excellence, who was totally committed to his duties. His relationship with his colleagues and especially members of the public was superb.
“He put in his best to ensure service delivery and professionalism.
“As we accord him last respect, it is our belief that the good Lord will accept his soul as he rests in peace”, he added.
