The President of All Stars Football Club of Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Rosel Ngofa has said that the  Ogoni Nations Cup (ONC) football competition was to discover future talents.
He stated that the tournament has the potentials to discover good players like Joseph Yobo from the Ogoni axis.
Ngofa made the assertion in an interview with sports journalists shortly after he took the kick-off  of the novelty match between Khana FC and SKE FC, on Saturday at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School (BMGS) Bori.
He said  he was excited about the  ONC competition because he believed that the tournament would meet his expectations.
“This type of competition is what we have been yearning for in our communities  because we believe we  can discover the likes of Joseph Yobo in the tournament.
“I am very impressed.
“I saw a whole lot of young players that can metamorphose to senior professional players in no time.
“With the level of skill I saw today, I am so proud that we have such good players at the grassroots.
“I never knew  we have such skillful young players in our communities, with time, we are going to have a better of Yobo,” Ngofa said.
He eqully said that he has no doubt that the ONC would divert the minds of  youths from violence and  bring unity and peace.
He advised the participating teams to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship.
“ I am really delighted over what Legbo Sports Academy is doing by organising ONC, they should keep it up and continue to do more,” he stated.
