NYSC Committed To Wellbeing Of Rural Poor -Fadah

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), Brig.Gen. Mohammad Kaku Fadah, has reiterated the scheme’s commitment to the well-being of the rural poor.
Fadah stated this in his Nation-wide Address to mark the Swearing-In ceremony of the 2022 Batch C, Stream 1 Corps Members,  Tuesday.
Represented by the Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, George Mfongang, at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai, Fadah said the provision of easy access to free and qualitative health care as captured in the Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), was a further proof that the well-being of the rural dwellers is a top priority of the scheme.
Fadah charged the corps members to take seriously the “opportunity provided by the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development(SAED) Programme in order to become self-employed rather than being elusive white-collar jobs seekers”.
The NYSC boss stressed the need for self availability by corps members on camp for the SAED training stating that Management would continue to work with relevant stakeholders to support those who are keen about the training.
Fadah stressed the need for the corps members to key into the objectives of the NYSC scheme which he said is the promotion of national unity and integration.
Fadah who implored the corps members to sustain the high level of discipline and enthusiasm displayed on camp urged them to remain compliant to the rules and regulations of the scheme for a successful Orientation course exercise and a hitch-free service year.
Earlier, the Chief Judge of the state, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, represented by Hon. Justice Mark Chuku administered the Oath of National Pledge and Allegiance on the corps members.
