NYCN Dismisses Bani As Impostor

The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has described one Nwisabari Bani, as an impostor and dismissed his recent threat to sue the Rivers State Government over Executive Order 22 issued by the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, as an empty threat, and a figment of his imagination.
A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman of NYCN on (Media & Publicity), Dr. Amadi Eze, yesterday, said that there was no faction in the umbrella youth body in the state, adding that NYCN stands by the position of the state government on Executive Order 22.
The statement read, The attention of the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers State chapter, Amb Ihunwo Chijioke, has been drawn to a 6am radio news on November 22, 2022, by 92.3 Nigeria Info, Port Harcourt, wherein one Nwisabari Bani claimed to be the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, and threatened to sue the Rivers State Government, on the issue of Order 22, given by the Rivers State governor, as regards campaigns for the 2023 general election.
“For the records, Nwisabari Bani is not the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, hence does not have the authority to make such announcement.
“Nwisabari Bani is an impostor hiding under the guise of a chairman to cause disunity amongst Rivers State youths.
“Nwisabari Bani does not occupy the Secretariat of the youth council.
“Nwisabari Bani’s name is not at the Rivers State Ministry of Youth Development as the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter.
“The security agencies do not know Nwisabari Bani as the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter.
“The Rivers State Government does not recognise Nwisabari Bani as the chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter.
“And above all, there is a court pronouncement that gave a node to the Chairmanship of Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo.
“The general public, media houses and all relevant institutions are advised to take notice of this press statement and disregard as well as discountenance this desperate move by the said individual seeking to mislead the public and indeed Rivers State youths.
“Furthermore, the issue of Order 22 is purely political and should be resolved by politicians, not for one inconsequential individual to issue threats to the state government.”
