The  Revenue Committee Chairman in Oyigbo Local Government, Area of Rivers State, Senibo Daniel Chijindu, has said that there is no party that can challenge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.
He stated that even the ruling party at the federal level, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has collapsed in the State.
Chijindu made the assertion during the inauguration of Oyigbo PDP Campaign Council, on Friday at Afam, the headquarters of the council area.
According to him, almost all members of APC have defected to PDP in Oyigbo and during the campaign, the remaining members will join PDP.
“I have no doubt that during the campaign, all APC members in Oyigbo would defect to PDP. The united Oyigbo PDP led by Amb. Desmond Akawor will continue to build bridges across board to ensure the party succeeds come 2023. The infrastructural and human capital development  carried out by Governor Nyesom Wike in the area  will make the campaign easier for PDP governorship candidate, Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara to win in 2023”, Chijindu said.
He noted that the people of Oyigbo have resolved to vote for PDP massively to enable them continually enjoy the dividends of democracy.
“Here in Oyigbo, we have resolved to vote massively for PDP to enable us continue to enjoy dividends of democracy. The Local Government Chaiman, Hon. Okechukwu Akara is also complementing the efforts of Governor Wike by providing meaningful projects for the Oyigbo people. The Eke Market project, Legislative,  Executive Chambers rehabilitation and stipends given to members of the 13 wards in the area are testimony of good governance”, Chijindu said.
The revenue boss used the forum to advise youths to be law-abiding during and after campaigns, saying that no form of thuggery will be tolerated in the area.
