International Body Tasks New Entrants On Peace

The Executive Director, Relief International, Africa, Ambassador Green Isaac, has charged its newest inductees to be of good courage and push more in maintaining peace in their community.
Isaac gave the charge when the group honoured five Woji sons as Peace Ambassadors at the palace of His Royal Majesty, King Leslie N. Eke, in Woji Community last week.
He said the need to honour the Woji sons as Peace Ambassadors became urgent due to the global desire for a peaceful environment.
The group’s leader noted that there was no better way to encourage the new Ambassadors than to enlist them among those who have maintained peace in their various communities and regions.
“If you are not recognised in the family, you have done nothing. That’s why we came to honour you, because charity begins at home”, he said.
He also explained service to mean when one cuts oneself and receives pains, and added that they should expect less applaud from the people.
The inductees were further charged to consider their new position as a call for more tasks and not a sort of new feather to their caps.
“If you are not a peace maker, you are not a peace maker. It is an indictment to do something wrong as an ambassador of peace. People must identify you as a peace maker”, he said.
Earlier, the Eze Oha Evo III, King Leslie N Eke, had called on the awardees to consider it as a privilege to be part of the body of the International Peace Ambassadors.
The opportunity, he noted, will trim and push upward in the ladder of leadership, hence the need to guard it jealously.
“The peace and growth of Woji Community, is now in your hands. If the Eke family produces you as peace ambassadors, that means, you are not to pose as nuisance in the society”, he said.
Chief Peter Eke, who responded on behalf of the awardees, promised to uphold the image of the organisation and reassured them of their preparedness to preach and practice peace in the society.
Other of the awardees are, Elder Emenike Eke, Prince Royal Chika Eke, Ambassador Joseph Chukuemeka Eke and Kingsly Uchechuku Eke.
