A newly sworn-in Commissioner in Rivers State, Hon Ndubuisi Okere, has reiterated his commitment to Governor Nyesom Wike’s developmental agenda in the State.
Hon. Okere who hails from Oyigbo Local Government Area, said Oyigbo people and those living in the area were happy with the people oriented projects the State had executed in the area.
He stated this while fielding questions from journalists at the weekend, in Port Harcourt, saying that Oyigbo people are going to give the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sim Fubara their full support come 2023.
“ We in Oyigbo do not have any choice than to support PDP candidate because the PDP government in the State led by Governor Nyesom Wike has done well and the party deserves continuation.
“We have witnessed unprecedented developmental strides in the area in terms of infrastructure, human capital development and empowerment,”Okere said.
According to him, the recent award given to Governor Wike by the Federal Government led by President Mohammadu Buhari on infrastructural development was a clear testimony that he is the best Governor in Nigeria.
“ As I speak to you now, some members of opposition parties in the State are willing to defect to PDP, in fact, by next week, you will see massive defection to our great party here.
“The achievements of this administration have silence all the oppositions in the State, that will actually make the campaign of PDP easy. We also commend Governor Wike for entrusting the leadership of PDP in the hands of our illustrious son, Amb. Desmond Akawor, “ he stated.
The Commissioner reassured that Oyigbo people will deliver the PDP governorship candidate because they have no doubt over his capacity and thanked the Governor for the opportunity he gave him to serve the State.
