Ariolu Lauds Amaewhule’s Impact In Governance …Warns Against Destruction Of Govt Properties
Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Barrister George Ariolu, has commended the Leader of Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Martin Chike Amaewhule, for his efforts towards improving governance in the state.
Ariolu made this remark at the commissioning of the Rumuodara Community Health Centre constructed by Amaewhule.
The chairman, who was earlier recieved by the paramount ruler and chiefs of Rumuodara Community, expressed delight over the edifice, describing the project as laudable and gigantic.
The health centre was commissioned by the Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Chike Princewill, who also commended Amaewhule for embarking on such far reaching project.
Speaking further, Ariolu called on beneficiaries to put the healthcare facility to better use, urging them to continue drumming support for the PDP in Rivers State.
He siezed the opportunity to educate them on the importance of safeguarding and protecting the facility like it is their personal property.
He also warned them against encouraging hoodlums who are bent on vandalising government properties to continue in the criminal act, and advised them to report any individual caught in the act of vandalisation of government facilities.
He, however, assured that his administration will work towards partnering with the Ministry of Health, Primary Healthcare Management Board and other relevant agencies in the maintenance of the facility to ensure proper healthcare delivery is achieved.
Amaewhule, who spoke at a town hall meeting organised for the people of Obio/Akpor Constituency 1, disclosed that the edifice is not a constituency project but a personal effort geared towards the improvement of lives in the society.
The leader, while presenting some cars, generator sets and agricultural support grants to constituents, maintained that his re-election will rekindle hopes of achieving dreams.
He assured that he will not be deterred in his quest to reach out to the people through similar projects and economic empowerments, urging them to continue to garner support for the PDP and its candidates across the state to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The event had in attendance member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, Hon Kingsley Ogundu Chinda, who chairmaned the occasion.
Other leaders who were present includes; PDP Chairman, Obio/Akpor, Hon. Chidi Amadi; PDP Leader of Obio/Akpor Constituency 1, Elder Peter Chinwo; Barrister Emma Utchay, Special Adviser to Governor on Employment Generation; Dr. Richard Ehie, PDP Leader, Ward 4 and member Rivers State Judicial Service Commission and other PDP leaders of Obio/Akpor.
