A frontline politician and Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Chris Finebone, has indicated that Governor Nyesom Wike’s successor-in-waiting and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state ahead of the 2023 general election, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has the magic wand to raise the status of the state to be a reference point by other states in Nigeria, and in Africa.
Speaking with journalists in PortHarcourt shortly after the inauguration of PDP Campaign Council by Governor Nyesom Wike, Finebone, who was former spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC),carpeted nay-sayers on leadership dexterity of Wike, saying that the choice of his successor, aside being divinely inspired, was predicted on his impeccable track record as a successful achiever as a technocrat in governance.
He maintained that, “Mark my word, this state would turn a reference state in Nigeria and Africa as whole,” adding that his successor was going to build on the economic foundation that the governor had laid, and Rivers State would be on a steady watch to economic prosperity.
While commending the vast turn-out at inauguration, Finebone noted that, Wike’s successor would ensure that the people of the state retain their cosmopolitan composition through entrepreneurship and proliferation of business centres.
According to him, “PortHarcourt is not just the seat of power and politics. PortHarcourt must turn the centre of innovation and industrialisation,” Finebone stated.
Meanwhile, Chief Chris Finebone, has predicted 100percent victory votes for Sir Siminialayi Fubara and other PDP candidates in the February and March, 2023 general election, assuring that Rivers people shall deliver all the 319 wards and all the units in view of anticipated gains that would accrue to Rivers people.
Finebone pledged to bring his wealth of experience to bear by mobilising voters to cast their votes for Fubara and other PDP candidates for overwhelming victory at the polls come 2023.
