Tough Friendly Game’ll Improve S’Falcons – Coach
Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has stressed that they are playing against more competitive teams because they are eager for improvements.
Waldrum acknowledged that the Japanese will be too handful for the Falcons but reckoned that they are ready to embrace the challenge as they continue their build up to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
He thumbed up the former World champions whom he stated have managed to remain competitive and technically sound over the years but emphasized that the Falcons are not afraid to test their might against the Asian team.
“It is very exciting for me to be here. This is my first time in Japan. I am a very good admirer of Japan. They are among the world powers,” Waldrum said in his press conference.”What impressed me about them is that in the last few years they have managed to maintain the quality of the players they have. They are technically good and more physically gifted players. We know it is going to be difficult.”
