Road To 2023: Ogonis Express Indebtedness To Wike …Vow To Vote Fubara, PDP Candidates

The Ogoni Sim Vanguard (OSV) has declared support for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminialayi Fubara, in the 2023 elections in Rivers State.
It has also expressed determination and commitment to a landslide victory of the party in the state, as an appreciation for Governor Nyesom Wike’s footprints of landmark dividends of democracy in Ogoniland.
Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), OSV, Marvin Yobana, stated this, at the weekend, at the grand inauguration of the group in Bori, Khana Local Government Area and the traditional headquarters of Ogoniland.
Yobana said the 2023 governorship election would be used to demonstrate the uniqueness of Ogoni ethnic nationality, especially as far was politics was concerned.
He said that Ogoni ethnic nationality would be considered ungrateful, if they fail to support Governor NyesomWike’s visions as expressed in the choice of the party’s flagbearer.
“Ogoni is proud of Governor Wike as we have never witnessed such level of unprecedented development projects since the Second Republic. Governor Wike has, indeed, brought the dividends of democracy to Ogoniland.
“We shall be considered ungrateful if we fail to support Governor Wike’s visions as expressed in the choice of Sir SimFubara.
“Apart from this fact, we can attest that Governor Nyesom Wike loves Ogoni, the Ogonis will remain indebted to Governor Wike for the great wonders he had performed in our land. For example, Saakpenwa-Kono dual carriageway completed with street lights; the Kpobie-Bodo Road; the renovation of Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori; Bodo General Hospital; and many other projects.”
In his brief response, the PDP governorship candidate, Sir Siminialayi Fubara urged Ogoni ethnic nationality, Rivers people and various support groups to intensify efforts to defeat the candidates of the opposition political parties.
While flagging off the door-to-door mobilisation campaign, Fubara declared his total support for the Ogoni Sim Vanguard (OSV), and explained that he was a product of consolidation and an offspring of good governance, with intent to consolidate on the existing development strides of Governor Nyesom Wilke-led government, while initiating a prosperous economic roadmap for the Ogonis.
Summarising the Ogoni Sim Vanguard inauguration agenda, Senator Barry Mpigi assured the PDP gubernatorial hopeful and his entourage of Ogoni people’s resolve to give and protect their votes for the Peoples Democratic Party, for the continuous development of Ogoniland.
Highlight of the event was conferment of the title of Mene Lee Gbo 1 of Ogoni land (friend of Ogoni people) on Sir Siminialayi Fubara by the Gbenemene Ken-Khana, Mene Barile Deebom.
