Rivers Police Confirm Arrest Of Robbery Suspect In Diobu

The Rivers State Police command has said investigation has commenced on the arrest of a middle aged man arrested by the Diobu vigilantee group alleged robbery within the Diobu axis in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of the State.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed this while confirming the incident however, said more update on the matter would be given soon as investigation progressed.
Oour correspondent reports that members of Diobu Vigilantee group at Mile 2 arrested a thirty two year man, known as Godspower Friday in the wee hours on Monday and was in possession of locally made pistol, machete and facemask.
Speaking to journalist ,Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, the Assistant Secretary of Diobu Vigilante who is also the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, said “at the early hours of Today Monday 24th October,2022 by 2:30am a thirty two year old suspected criminal known as Godspower Friday who hail from Bayelsa state but resides behind St.Thomas spear parts dealer mechanic garage Diobu Port Harcourt was arrested by me and my men while on patrol along IKwerre road / Wobo junction with a locally made pistol, machete and added that two button phones and a facemask were recovered from the suspect
He alleged that the suspect were among the armed robbery gang terrorising the Oroworukwo community and its environs and added that he has been handed over to Nkpolu Divisional Police headquarters Mile 3 Diobu for further prosecution.
