Reconciliation: We Won’t Give Up On Wike, Others–PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it would not give up on reconciliation with Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, and other aggrieved members of the party.
Recall that the Wike-led faction of the PDP pulled out of Atiku’s presidential campaign council.
They insisted that the party’s National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu must resign to give away for a Southerner to lead the party.
Other governors in Wike’s camp include that of Benue Stat, Samuel Ortom; Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde; Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpaezu; and Enugu State, Hon Ugwuanyi Ifeanyi.
Bringing journalists to speed on the reconciliation move, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, last Friday in Abuja, said the party was exploring other options to mend the fence.
He said, “We have an internal conflict resolution mechanism, we can’t give up hope on reconciliation, because this party is PDP, not an individual. We don’t give commands, we don’t give instructions, we negotiate.
“As a party, we are very confident that Governor Nyesom Wike, other governors and other members of our party who have issues to deal with remain important. But irrespective of other divides, misunderstandings or differences, we are all united to rescue our country from the rudderless APC government”.
