2023: Banigo Recommits To Quality Representation At Senate
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has commended the people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) for supporting the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration.
Banigo made this commendation at a meeting with notable leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ONELGA at the Government House in Port Harcourt, last Wednesday.
The deputy governor said she was poised to give the people satisfactory representation, not lip service, adding that she was passionate about representing ONELGA and other LGAs of the Rivers West Senatorial District at the Senate in 2023.
“I am sure that much more can be done about the issue of flooding, instead of waiting and reacting we need to be proactive and solve this basic problem that needs urgent solution.
“Let me assure you that if that is one thing am going to drive at the Senate, I will drive it till I get a solution because I do not believe that our people should be suffering like this”, Banigo said.
She reiterated the fact that the Electoral Act has given the power back to the people, stressing that our votes would count and it is important that every single person must have their PVCs, secure them, and vote with their conscience.
In a related development, the state Deputy Governor, Dr.Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has assured the people of Bonny that she would use her position at the Senate to attract more Federal Government presence in Bonny when voted into the Upper Legislative Chambers in 2023.
Banigo stated this during a meeting with critical stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bonny Local Government Area at the Government House in Port Harcourt, last Wednesday.
The deputy governor said it was time for the Bonny people to have somebody who has been tested and trusted to be at the Senate, and noted that she knows and understands what it takes to give quality representation to the Ibani people.
