Lawmaker Calls On Residents To Support Rivers United
The Lawmaker representing Abua/ Odual Constituency, in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Sogulu Solomon, has called on residents of Rivers State to come out and support Rivers United FC in all their CAF Champions League games, especially, at home.
He said that residents should not consider the distance between where they are staying and the stadium, adding that if they were truly fans of the State, they should all come out and give their support to the Pride of the state in their games in CAF Champions League .
Hon Solomon made the call on Sunday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports, shortly after Rivers United FC defeated Watanga FC of Liberia 3-0 in the 1st leg of the preliminary round tie of the CAF Champions League match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt.
The Lawmaker explained that with more fans’ turnout in the stadium, the players will have more faith in themselves and do better in their games.
